ISLAMABAD, Nov 9 (APP): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) would brief the Senate Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatisation on the tax collection during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2016-17.
The committee meeting, scheduled to be chaired by Senator Saleem Mandviwala, would also be briefed on the budgetary allocations and its utilization in respect of Inland Revenue and Customs for the first quarter, as required under the rules.
According to the Senate Secretariat notification, the committee would also review the implementation status and follow up of the recommendations made by the committee in its meeting held on January 20th 2016 regarding undue restrictions on the import of PVC.
