LAHORE: Chief Commissioner Regional Tax Office Multan Khawaja Saleem Raza Asif has said that the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will take up the demands of ginners in a high level meeting next month. The ginners are seeking tax relief and special incentives.

Tax officials were fully aware of the losses suffered by farmers, ginners and textile industry due to lower cotton production recorded this year,  a top tax official of the RTO Multan said at a dinner hosted by Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) in the honour of tax officials of Multan, Bahawalpur and Faisalabad. The Income Tax Department has always tried to facilitate traders and industrialists within the ambit of law. However, the government also needs their support in expanding tax base and improve revenue generation. He said that improved national economy will benefit all.
