FBR starts crackdown against 122 tax defaulter companies

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has started crackdown against tax defaulter companies.
Additional Commissioner Regional Tax Office III (RTO-III) Malik Fayyaz told Customs Today that after the directions of Investigation and prosecution Inland Revenue One, Four and RTO-III, investigation of companies’ data has been started.
He added that the investigations are in final stage and a list of 122 companies in Karachi and Hyderabad has already been completed in this regard. He added that stern action will be taken against companies found involved in any irregularity.
Action will also be taken against those companies which have filed their tax returns but did not show any sale or purchase record during July 2015.
