FBR to start crackdown against departments of Sindh govt

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is going to start grand operation against those Sindh government departments who are involved in tax evasion.

Talking to Customs Today, Additional Commissioner IR RTO-III Fayyaz Khan said that ongoing fiscal year is going to end after few months so we already enhanced our measures to generate more revenue. He said there is a huge amount of taxes payable against Sindh government departments and we will take every possible step to recover the oustanding amount from them.

He said that RTO-III already despatched reminders letters to these defaulter departments warning them to clear the outstanding tax amount but some of these departments are avoiding to reply the notices.

He also revealed that copies of these letters are also being sent to chief minister of Sindh and he verbally asked chief minister to interfere in this matter and solve the same. Fayyaz Khan said we advise these departments to clear outstanding FBR will take stern action against them.
