All the monitoring and control of the process would be automated and system based. This decision has been made in 1st Chief Commissioners Conference.  A Chief Commissioner’s Conference was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Revenue Division and chairman FBR on 4 and 5th August, 2017 in FBR headquarter Islamabad.

It was decided in the conference that the current financial year would focus on enforcement, audit and bringing new taxpayer in the Tax Net. The Facilitation and Taxpayers Education (FATE) wing of the Federal Board of Revenue arranged a taxpayers’ interaction seminar in to have an interactive dialogue between the FBR and representatives of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Chambers of Commerce & Trade, tax bars and members of the business community.

Linkages with 3rd party sources, including provincial revenue authorities also will be established for effective implementation and monitoring. Reporting mechanisms will be strengthened at Head Quarter level. The collection of Sales Tax and withholding tax by withholding agents would be monitored and reported on a regular basis. Broadening of the tax base by bringing new taxpayers in the tax net would be accelerated and reviewed every month.
