KARACHI: The Large Taxpayer Unit of the Federal Board of Revenues (FBR) has started crackdown on textile mills which are involved in tax evasion.
Recently Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) of the FBR has sent a notice to Humair Textile which is allegedly involved in tax evasion of billions of rupees. Sources in Large Taxpayer Unit further revealed that notice was issued to the textile mill after thorough investigation of its tax record. Sources also said that the company sold its products to another blacklisted company and amount of sold items stood around Rs 2 billion. Sources said that notice was sent to Humair Textile in the last week of May.
