FBR to take strict action against hospitals involved in tax evasion

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) decided to take strict action against four private hospitals which were involved in tax evasion.

Sources of Regional Tax Office said that four private hospitals which are located in the area of North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Clifton and Liaquatabad did not deposit their tax amount of Rs 36.2 million. After the interrogation of department it was revealed that two hospitals which deposits fewer amount of tax while they earn in million. According to the sources of department two hospitals deposit Rs1.2 million as sales tax while they were involved in the tax evasion of Rs 10 million.
