FBR to take strict action against non-filers

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is all set to take strict action against non-filers and tax defaulters.

Sources informed Customs Today that the FBR issued notices to all non-filers and tax evaders, asking them to pay outstanding taxes. The board has directed all the relevant chief commissioners and regional tax officials to start crackdown against non-filers and tax defaulters.

Sources said that written instructions were issued to the officials concerned on Tuesday. The FBR has made it clear that anybody found involved in tax evasion will not be spared. Special crackdown will start from next week.
