FBR urged to expedite registration process

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue has been asked to expedite the process regarding the issuance of national tax number to facilitate the business community.

Talking to Customs Today, traders said that small taxpayers can file their tax returns in form of hard copy but large taxpayers are required to register through website with FBR to file tax returns online. They added that e-filers were facing problems that need to be addressed on early basis.

Taxpayers also urged FBR to pay attention towards the up gradation of the online system to keep it at fast pace. They added that department should conduct survey to evaluate the performance of online systems to eradicate the technical issues if any.

To get register with FBR, a trader has to wait for months which affects the revenue collection, they added saying that FBR should bring ease in registration process.
