FBR urged to issue wealth statement form

KARACHI: Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) on Thursday asked Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to issue wealth statement form for tax year 2017 to provide legal cover to the documents.

In a letter sent to FBR Chairman, the KTBA said that it had sent another letter on August 28, 2017 on the issue and the latest was to remind the issue.

The KTBA said that the form of wealth statement and reconciliation statement for e-filer had not yet been notified. It further said that forms of return of income/statement of final taxation, wealth statement and reconciliation statement on excel sheet for manual filers had also not yet been notified.

The KTBA requested the FBR to notify the forms at earliest so that the legal cover is provided to the documents. It said that till the issuance of appropriate notifications these forms would remain unprescribed and not legal.
