ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that officer of Inland Revenue (IR) will observe extended working hours on March 30 and 31 to facilitate taxpayers in payment of duty and taxes.
In a notification issued on Tuesday, the FBR directed all the chief commissioners of Inland Revenue i.e. Large Taxpayers Units, Regional Tax Offices and Corporate Regional Tax Offices to remain open and observe extended working hours i.e. 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on Thursday March 30, 2017 and 9:00 am and 10:00 pm on Friday March 31, 2017 for collection of duties/taxes.

The FBR directed chief commissioners to establish liaison with State Bank of Pakistan and authorized branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to ensure transfer of tax collection by these branches on March 31, 2017 to the respective offices of SBP on the same date so as to ensure the accounting of the same towards the collection for the month of March 2017.
