FBR urges taxpayers to file accurate income tax returns from July 27

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that the filing of income tax returns for Tax Year 2026 will officially begin on July 27, urging taxpayers to submit their returns accurately, completely and on time.

In a statement, the FBR spokesperson advised all taxpayers to file their income tax returns with correct, complete and truthful information to help strengthen the country’s tax system and improve its overall effectiveness.

According to the spokesperson, all information provided in tax returns must be accurate and based on factual details. Taxpayers have been urged to ensure that every detail included in their returns reflects the correct information to maintain transparency and accuracy.

The FBR further emphasized that timely and accurate submission of tax returns plays a vital role in establishing a strong tax system. The spokesperson said it is the responsibility of taxpayers to file their returns within the prescribed procedure and ensure the accuracy of the information provided.
