FBR vows to achieve revenue target before time, eyes on next target

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has expedited its effort to achieve revenue target before the end of the current fiscal year.

According to the source, the FBR has boosted its revenue collection from various aspects to achieve revenue collection target of Rs 3,100 billion during the current fiscal year.

The FBR has already directed all the Regional Tax Offices to achieve the set revenue collection target before the end of the current fiscal year.

The FBR has so far collected the revenue of more than Rs 2200 billions revenue till third quarter and making hard efforts to collect Rs 900 billion in fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2015-2016, source added.

The authorities of the Federal Board of Revenue have expressed satisfaction over the revenue collection by the Regional Tax Offices so far whereas has vowed to add a huge amount into the revenue to make the target more easy in the month of May.

Not only during the current fiscal year, FBR has also set a target to collect 3700 billions of rupees during the upcoming fiscal year 2016-2017, source maintained.
