FBR withdraws penalty imposed on Peshawar customs officials

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has withdrawn the major penalty of reduction to lower stage imposed on six officials of Customs Peshawar officials.

According to FBR notification no: 0408-C-III/2019: in pursuance of FST Judgment dated 24.7.2017  passed in appeals and duly upheld by Supreme Court of Pakistan, declared the penalty notices served on the officials have been withdrawn.

Inspectors Azeem Khan, Muhammad Chanzaib and Hayat Muhammad Khan were imposed major penalty of reduction to lower stage (02 stages lower).

Deputy Superintendent Ashraf Noor, was imposed major penalty of reduction to lower stage (02 stages lower). Superintendent Tariq Masood was imposed major penalty of reduction to lower stage (05 stages lower), while Inspector Syed Asifullah was imposed minor penalty of withholding on one annual increment (without cumulative effect).
