FBR withdraws sales tax zero rating of 10 textile units

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has withdrawn the zero rated sales tax on consumption of electricity allowed to at least 10 textile units on recommendations of Regional Tax Office (RTO) Faisalabad.

Through Sales Tax General Order (STGO) issued on Wednesday, the FBR withdrew facility of zero-rating on supply of electricity to following units:

The FBR directed Chief Commissioner, RTO Faisalabad to coordinate with Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) regarding implementation of normal sales tax rate and also submit report in respect of action taken / recovery made for misuse of the facility.
