FBR withdraws zero rating facility on gas supply to manufacturer Haji Ghani

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has withdrawn the facility of zero rating on supply of gas to Muhammad Haji Ghani by making amendment in Sales Tax General Order 16/2007 dated 13.9.2007.

According to a notification No C.No.4(3)ST-L&P/2015-143837, issued by Secretary-IR-ST&FE, Tariq Hussain Shaikh that read as: “In exercise of powers conferred by clause (d) of section 4 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, read with SRO 1125(I)/2011 dated 31.12.2011, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to make the following further amendments in its Sales Tax General Order No 16 of 2007 dated 13th September, 2007, namely.”
