KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has withdrawn zero-rated sales tax on gas supply to a textile mill and a garments manufacturer for misuse of the facility.
The concession of zero-rated sales tax granted to Aman and Sons Textile Mills and Colour Ital (Pvt) Ltd was withdrawn for supplying the gas to other persons. The FBR has advised Regional Tax Office (RTO) Karachi and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) for withdrawal of zero-rated facility.
Meanwhile, the country’s top revenue authority, exercising the powers conferred upon it by clause (d) of section 4 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, has granted facility of zero-rated gas supply to Mundia Exports
