ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has withheld five million notices against benamidars and tax evaders.
According to the FBR sources, only fifty notices will be served to the law violators per month and the institution will try to bring them to logical conclusion.
It has been learnt that the notices are also halted as some elements are trying to portray them as politically influenced actions.
Furthermore, various officials of the FBR have been changed and the process has slowed down owing to the new appointments and transfers.
The FBR is waiting for Chaudhry Tanveer and Omni Group’s replies regarding the notices that have been served to them. July 23 is the deadline for both parties.
