FBR finalizes promotions list of deputy superintendents

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has finalized a list for promotions of 207 deputy superintendents who are working in Grade-16 in Customs Department and its field formations.

According to the details, the FBR has received performance reports of deputy superintendents for promotion. The decision for their promotion will be taken during  the departmental promotions committee meeting. The meeting will take place next month and FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa will preside over the meeting.

The sources further told Customs Today,that  Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa has directed member administration Shahid Hussain Jatoi to adopt a transparent procedure for promotion of Deputy superintendents.

According to the procedure seniority and performance will be the main criteria for promotion.Those official who have shown outstanding performance from July 1st , 2011 to June 30th, 2015 will be consider for promotions.

The merit will be the key for promotion and any officer use any unlawful means will be put in negative list and stern disciplinary action will be taken against him.
