The citizen named Fazl Shah had started a tyre puncture shop in Bhaganwala a year ago to make ends meet. He stated that he did not have any property.

The labourer expressed his disbelief and distress over receiving a tax notice of millions of rupees, which he considered unjustified.

The FBR officials have summoned the citizen and were investigating the matter. They stated that Fazl Shah had submitted his tax returns from 2016 to 2022, and the reason for this sudden notice was yet to be determined.

The government needs to ensure that the tax system is fair, just, and does not cause undue hardship to the citizen.
