FCCI congratulates PM Imran for holding successful dialogue with USA

FAISALABAD: The President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan for holding successful dialogue with the US President Donald Trump on Monday. The issues confronted by Pakistan particularly on Line of Control Kashmir –India and Afghanistan border were discussed at length. Moreover, Prime Minister of Pakistan apprised the US President Trump that Pakistan had suffered a great loss of human lives where about 50,000 army and civilian people were martyred in addition to billion of dollars of economic loss suffered during the war on terror continuing for the last two decades.

However, despite assisting Pakistan in cash and kind, US Government curtailed Coalition Support Fund to Pakistan, said President FCCI. He appreciated US President’s assurance that about $ 1.3 billion assistance is likely to be restored and also offer of mediation on Kashmir issue : Pakistan with India. President Trump appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to curb the terrorism within the region and acknowledge Pakistan support in order to restore political government in Afghanistan. President Trump also desired to visit Pakistan in the near future.

President FCCI further said that the meeting held between both the heads of states will be a milestone in present Government tenure. Hopefully, after the follow up meetings, of concerned quarters of both the countries, the bilateral trade and political ties will be further strengthened, The President FCCI further deemed this meeting as a necessary relief in the recent economic turmoil since the assumption of charge by Imran Khan as Prime Minister of Pakistan.  Moreover, as per reliable source, it depicts that PM Imran Khan remained persistent on its stance for the restoration of political and economic relations between both the countries at par which is a source of motivation for business community of Pakistan.
