FCCI plans to explore maximum international markets: Saeed Sheikh

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) has decided to send maximum trade delegations to different potential international markets to give a quantum jump to textile exports direct from Faisalabad, said FCCI President Engineer Muhammad Saeed Sheikh.

He was addressing a farewell function for a FCCI trade delegation that is going to Spain. The delegation headed by former presidents Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz and Engineer Suhail Bin Rashid comprises of 11 participants and it will visit Spain, France, Sweden, Germany, Italy and Switzerland during this tour.

Saeed Sheikh said that FCCI had started sending trade delegations just few years ago and this experience proved very successful and now we have upgraded our trade delegation desk into a fully fledged department to arrange maximum tours and facilitate the FCCI members intending to visit different countries to explore new opportunities and increase their exports.

He said that three members included in this delegation belong to dyes and chemical group and hoped that they will play a major role in the import of high quality dyes and chemicals in addition to exploring opportunities for its manufacturing within the country.

SVP FCCI Rana Sikandar Azam and VP Engineer Ahmad Hassan also congratulated the members of the trade delegation and hoped that this will elevate the image of FCCI due to their conduct and behaviour during this tour.

Later, President FCCI distributed visa stamped passports among the participants of the delegation. They were also garlanded by the other office bearers of the FCCI.
