Addressing the business leaders hailing from various trade bodies, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh thanked them and said that Faisalabad is basically an industrial, commercial and business city of the country.  “It was only a small Mandi town about a century ago but now it has emerged as a most vibrant urban centre of the Central Punjab only due to the hard work of its innovative entrepreneurs”, he said and added that this city has a unique privilege to earn six billion dollars per annum as foreign exchange by exporting textile products. He said that city has been transformed into a metropolitan city where thousands of trade bodies are working individually to protect the right of their specific trades and groups.

He termed FCCI as the mother of all trade bodies and said that other trade bodies should join FCCI to strengthen this united platform of the business community. He asked the office bearers of these trade bodies to convince their members to get the membership of FCCI so that collective efforts could be initiated to resolve their issues at federal, provincial and local levels. He also asked them to nominate serious and active business leaders belonging to their specific trade so that they could be nominated for the FCCI standing committee of that specific trade group.

Rana Sikandar Azam said that FCCI is a democratically elected body of the business community and every activist has equal chance to become an office bearer of this body only because of its commitment and dedication. He hoped that FCCI will make progress under the dynamic leadership of Engineer Muhammad Saeed Sheikh. The office bearers of the other trade bodies assured full support to the office bearers of FCCI including Rana Sikandar Azam and Mr. Ahmed Hasan.

The function was also attended by Chaudhary Talat Mehmood Gujjar, Rana Fayaz, Naseer Yousaf Vohra, Nadeem Allah wala , Rehan Naseem Bhrara, Farooq Allah Wala and Haji Shamshad.
