KARACHI: The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Pakistan has registered growth of 4.4 percent to $2.09 billion during July – March 2017/2018 as compared with $2 billion in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
According data issued by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday the gross inflows of FDI increased by4.3 percent to $2.63 billion during first nine months of the current fiscal year as compared with $2.52 billion in the corresponding period of the last year. However, the outflows was recorded at 3.8 percent to $537 million as compared with $517 million.
The outflows from capital market recorded decline during the period. The outflows witnessed decline of 73 percent to $93.3 million as compared with $346.3 million.
Therefore, the total foreign investment recorded 20.6 percent increase to $2 billion as compared with $1.66 billion.
