KARACHI: The federal government has decided to remove $35 import duty per tonne imposed by the Afghan government for the business and agriculture community. The relevant ministry director general (DG) has started to take measures in this regard. The DG has assured the local industry that import duty will be removed in the second week of December during a meeting with Afghan officials. The Punjab Food Department and flour associations have started dialogue to import wheat products from Afghanistan.
