Federal govt starts 132kv power project in Swabi

SWABI: The federal government has started a Rs 187 million worth of 132kv power project at Tarbela Dam grid station, which was inaugurated by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders.

PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Pir Sabir Shah, MPA Shiraz Khan, Pesco Chief Executive Anwarul Haq, Pesco Board of Director Chairman Malik Asad, Tarbela Dam Chief Engineer Sher Afzal Khan, PML-N District President Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, General Secretary Dildar Khan and various workers were also present on the occasion.

Giving briefing about the project, Muhammad Amjid, Senior Engineer Tarbela Dam (water) said that the big problem of about 1.8 million population of the district was that they were getting electricity through Mardan and Wah (Punjab) transmission line.

Pir Sabir Shah, while talking to media, said that the prolonged loadshedding will end in 2018, adding “Our leader would fulfil his pledge and the PML-N government had already initiated a number of power projects to materialize this promise.”
