Federal Service Tribunal adjourns hearing of cases involving FBR

ISLAMABAD: Two division benches of Federal Service Tribunal (FST) adjourned hearing of several cases filed against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday.

A division bench of the FST comprising Members Muhammad Arshad Bhatti and Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard the couple of cases filed by Pervez Esbhani and Mohabat Khan Mandkhail. Both appellant had filed the matters relating to on-going inquiry in the department about their official conduct. The bench adjourned the hearing for the month of July after hearing the arguments on Monday.

Same bench also adjourned hearing of appeals related to promotion issued filed by Naimat Ullah, Tahir Aslam, Atta Muhammad, Abdul Ali Akbbari and Amjad Ali. They submitted that had not be yet granted to them despite serving for years.

Another bench of FST comprising of Members Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Dr Nazir Saeed left over hearing of a single dismissal matter filed by FBR employee Tariq Tanveer due to lack of time following hearings of other cases at tribunal.
