Federal Service Tribunal hears dozen cases filed by FBR employees

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Service Tribunal heard over a dozen cases challenging service related matters of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) during third week of May.

The FST benches, which heard cases, were comprised FST Chairman Justice (r) Sayed Zahid Hussain and Member Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi; Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Syed Muhammad Hamid, and Nazir Saeed and Ishtiaq Ahmed.

The bench comprising of FST Chairman Justice (r) Sayed Zahid Hussain and Member, Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi heard the most interesting matter of service promotion filed by FBR employee, Rakshanda Aziz Babar who was seeking promotion to BPS-21. This was the case being persuaded by a senior official of the FBR. However, no decision on the matter was made as the hearing of this case was adjourned by the bench.

Other benches, such as, Syed Rafique Hussain Shah and Syed Muhammad Hamid heard the dismissal and promotion cases filed by Muhammad Hanif, Tariq Tanveer, Asghar Khan’s restoration appeal and Husna Jamil’s appeal challenging discharge from service.

FST division bench comprising Members, Dr Nazir Saeed and Ishtiaq Ahmed adjourned hearing of five cases seeking implantation and “antedation promotion”. Appellants Waseem Iqbal, Ajnum Waheed Ahmed and Said Hussain Abassi had filed cases seeking implementation over decisions given by FST earlier. Fazle Kareem and Muhammad Musharaf had filed “antedation promotion” and review cases respectively. Hearing of these cases adjourned.
