Ferry service for pilgrims from Karachi Port to Iran’s Chabahar soon

KARACHI: Ministry of Ports and Shipping has announced free ferry service for pilgrim from Karachi Port to Iran’s Chabahar Port.

According to sources in the Shipping Department, Minister for Ports and Shipping held a meeting in Karachi. The meeting was told that free passenger ferry service would start from Karachi Port to Iran’s Chabahar and preparations in this regard have been completed. The Ministry of Ports and Shipping said that decision to start ferry service has been made in the wake of terror incidents in Quetta. The free ferry service for Iran will start as soon as authorities get NOC from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
