FGEHF registers 32,297 applicants

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) has registered as many as 32,297 applicants in five different categories under its membership drive (Phase-I) on ‘first come first serve’ basis.

According to the official sources in the Ministry of Housing and Works, presently, only 2,469 plots are available for allotments in Green Enclave, Bhara Kahu, Islamabad. However, they said, the Housing Foundation was in the process of acquiring more than 20,000 kanal of land in Bhara Kahu, whereon approximately 20,000 plots were likely to be created.

Besides this, they said, acquisition of land alongside the Park Road and at Mouza Moorat Chahan and Mandowal, Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock/Rawalpindi near Thalian Interchange was under consideration.

As soon as these acquisitions of lands were realized, they said, rest of the registered members would be accommodated, adding that efforts were being made to accomplish the process as early as possible. “Presently, 2,469 applicants will be accommodated against available plots and rest will be accommodated in next schemes,” the sources said.
