FIA arrests 10 deportees at Lahore airport

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 10 deportees who had arrived at Allama Iqbal Airport from different countries.

According to FIA officials, seven people were deported from Greece through flight No. GF-764 on emergency passports. They said all the accused had travelled to Greece via Iran illegally by crossing borders of different countries in 2015-16 after paying heavy amounts to different agents.

Similarly, FIA officials said, one passenger each from Austria, Sweden and Germany who had landed at Lahore airport on emergency passport were also arrested. Their names are Sikander Ayub, Ahsan and Tariq. FIA Immigration officials handed them over to Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of FIA, Lahore, for further action.
