FIA arrests 10 human traffickers during a crack down

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested as many as 10 notorious human traffickers during a massive crack down against them in Gujranwala Division.

According to Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Region Ch Khalid Anees, the special FIA teams have raided various places in Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts and arrested 10 human traffickers, including Mushtaq Ahmed, Zeeshan Tahir, Arshad Khan, Khalid Hussain, Kaaley Khan and Muhammad Nawaz.

He further said that the accused had been running their illegal business of sending innocent people abroad, especially to European and Middle East and Gulf Countries illegally by extorting big amounts from them.

The FIA teams also seized a large number of passports, fake student and labour visas, fake official documents and stamps of different embassies, embossing machines, visa stickers and fake medical certificates from there possession.

Ch Khalid Anees added that the FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases against them. Further investigations are underway in this regard.
