FIA arrests 14 notorious human traffickers from Gujranwala division

SIALKOT: The special teams of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have arrested as many as 14 notorious human traffickers during the ongoing crackdown against them in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

According to Director FIA Gujranwala Division Ch Khalid Anees Deputy, the FIA teams arrested 14 notorious human traffickers who are identified as Tayyub Rasul (Pasrur-Sialkot),  Najamul Saqib (Qila Deedar Singh), Shabir Ahmed (Jandiyala Baghwala-Gujranwala), Muhamamd Akram (Gujranwala), Sajjad Bhatti (Jaranwala) , Zafar Ullah (Dharam Kot-Daska), Raheel Ahmed (Sialkot), Sarfraz Ahmed alias Doctor, Khalid Majeed, Rana Muhammad Hafiz (Gujranwala), Liaqat Ali (Wazirabad),  Muhammad Asghar (Noushehra Virkan),  Muhammad Safdar (Faisalabad) and Muhammad Ali Awais (Daska).

Anees added that the suspects were involved in sending innocent people abroad illegally, especially to European, African and Middle East countries by extorting big amounts from them.

He said that the FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases against them. Further investigations are underway.
