FIA arrests four human traffickers in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested four human smugglers in different raids and recovered passports and fake documents from their possession.

In order to control growing incidents of human smuggling, the FIA authorities launched a crackdown in various parts of Peshawar and Mardan and arrested four persons along with illegal documents.

The arrested persons were identified as Fida Hussain, Muhammad Ishaq, Iftikhar-ul-Haq and Abid Ali. The accused persons were illegally sending people to Turkey via Iran.

Another raid was carried out in Mardan where an alleged accuse Muhtaram Shah was arrested.

Due to increasing number of travel agencies without proper licenses, incident of human smuggling increasing with each passing day and dozens of operators have been arrested involved in this illegal business so far.
