FIA arrests accused of harassment, blackmailing

FAISALABAD: Cyber Crime Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Lahore reportedly arrested a man from Faisalabad accused of harassing and blackmailing woman by using her inappropriate photos.

The accused, identified as Muhammad Amir, was taken into custody by the FIA officials at a renowned multinational food chain restaurant. The arrest was made after the cyber cell was tipped-off.

FIA officials confirmed that a complaint had been lodged against Amir by victim Sobia Atif who accused him of harassing and blackmailing her by using inappropriate photographs. Amir is accused of blackmailing Sobia in exchange for sexual favours and money.

Amir was supposed to be present on the premises of the restaurant where Sobia would give him Rs1.5 million in exchange for the entire personal data. The FIA team reached the spot and arrested Amir. Sources said FIA has successfully retrieved the personal data from Amir’s mobile phones.
