FIA arrests four human traffickers from Gujranwala

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has nabbed four human traffickers-cum proclaimed-offenders during raids in several areas of Gujranwala division.

FIA Deputy Director Gujranwala Khalid Aneed formed a team under the supervision of Sub-Inspector Javed Iqbal Ghumman to launch a crackdown against human traffickers. The sub-inspector informed Customs Today that he conducted several raids along with his team in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat and Narowal.

The team arrested four human-traffickers-cum proclaimed offenders named Irfan, Adnan, Sohail and Iqbal. The accused were involved in human trafficking since long. They sent people abroad including, Turkey, Fin Land, Japan, Russia, Tajikistan, Iraq etc on fake visas and documents after extorting huge amounts from the people.

The team has recovered copies of fake visas, documents and letter pads of various embassies from the accused. The FIA has registered cases against them and further investigation are underway.
