LAHORE: The FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Lahore has busted a gang of human smugglers involved in looting innocent people in the name of Hajj and Umarah packages.
Chaudhry Muhammad Ahmad, Deputy Director FIA, disclosed this while addressing a press conference at his office here.
He said that 16 FIRs had already been registered against the gang. He said that an awareness campaign had been launched in the provincial capital against such people. The team also arrested three agents involved in sending people to Canada and Europe illegally. The team also arrested an agent involved in sending people abroad via Libya. Further investigation is under way.
