FIA arrests human trafficker from Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker. The suspect is identified as Muhammad Asif Akhtar, a resident of Chak No. 54 Faisalabad.

Sources informed Customs Today that Director FIA Chaudhary Mazharullah and Sub-Inspector  Muhammad Nadeem  received credible information that the accused is running an illegal business of sending people abroad after extorting huge amounts from them.

Sources said that one citizen Faraz Haider son of Mohammad Akram approached the FIA and complained that accused Asif Akhtar received Rs 250,000 from him for sending him to Dubai. But neither he sent him to Dubai nor returned the money.

The Federal Investigation Agency has sent the accused behind bars and registered a case number 46/16  against him.
