LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested the SDO of Lesco sub-division Thokar Niaz Baig who was receiving Rs 50, 000 as bribe.
Sources told Customs Today that the Federal Investigation Agency team, under the supervision of Assistant Director Khurram Yousaf , arrested SDO Nadeem Akhter while taking Rs 50,000 as bribe for replacement of new meter. The raid was conducted during the presence of the judicial magistrate.
The FIA arrested the accused and registered case against Nadeem Akhter. Further proceedings are underway.
