FIA arrests most wanted human trafficker from Mandi Bahauddin

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) has arrested the most wanted human trafficker from Mandi Bahauddin. The name of the accused is included in the Red Book.

According to Lahore FIA Deputy Director Admin, a team arrested the trafficker Tahir Mahmood s/o Ameer Khan, a resident of Heelan Chungi Phalia. The FIR registered against Mahmood IN 2011 are 217/11, 632/11, 644/11, 639/11, 725/11, 727/11, 775/11 and 141/12. The cases were registered against him for sending people abroad illegally.

According to details, the Gujranwala FIA team led by Sub-Inspector Zahid Farooq and Naeem Aslam arrested the human trafficker during a raid. Mehmood has trafficked hundreds of people to Turkey and Greece through illegal routes.

In another raid, the FIA seized fake medicine from a maternity home in Faisalabad.

The team raided on Shama Maternity Hospital and seized fake medicine worth thousands of rupees. The seized medicine includes injections, tablets and syrups.

Meanwhile, Deputy Director Khalid Anees seized electric cables from a factory in Kareem Park area of Lahore. The cables of various famous brands were manufactured in this factory illegally. The team also impounded stamps of famous cable companies.

The Immigration Unit of the Federal Investigation Authority has also arrested several human traffickers and smugglers from Allama Iqbal International Airport during this week.
