FIA arrests proclaimed offender cum human trafficker

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested an accused who was declared as proclaimed offender by the court.

Deputy Director Khawaja Hammad told Customs Today that accused Ehsan Nabi son of Nabi Ahmed resident of Nisar Colony arrested by team on intelligence base operation.

Deputy director said that accused extorted Rs 2,40,000/- from  complainant Shahid Nadeem for sending him to Dubai on employment visa. He has looted number of other citizens in the wake of sending them abroad on fake documents. FIA team also recovered fake visa stamps, medical certificates and other documents used for travelling under the possession of accused. FIA team after registering a case of human smuggling against accused Ehsan Nabi started investigations.

It is necessary to mention here that Federal Investigation Agency human trafficking cell expedited their efforts to curb human smuggling in the region. Due to strict monitoring FIA team arrested lot of notorious human smugglers from different parts of the province.
