FIA arrests three human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested three human traffickers from various parts of Sialkot District on Thursday.

FIA Divisional Deputy Director Khalid Anees said the FIA arrested accused Aftab Farooq from Kapoorwali-Sialkot Village, accused Muhammad Sarwar from Qila Kalarwala-Pasrur Village and Muhammad Younas from Sirraanwali-Satrah Village.

He added the accused used to deceive innocent people by taking money from them for sending them abroad. He maintained the accused neither returned their money nor sent them abroad. He said cases were registered against them while further investigation was underway.

Earlier, the FIA arrested a man involved in human trafficking and recovered 15 Pakistani passports from his possession in Lahore. The FIA team conducted a raid at Al-Shehanshah Travel Agency and arrested owner Muhammad Shakeel who could not produce any license or legal document regarding his business.
