FIA arrests two accused in illegal currency business

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency has detained two suspects allegedly involved in illegal business of hundi and hawala.

According to the FIA spokesperson, a raiding team was formed under the supervision of Deputy Director Cyber Crime Circle of the FIA Jameel Khan. The other members of the team consisted of Inspector Nasir Awan and constables Abdul Qayyum, Ashfaq, Maroof and Shafqat. The team raided third floor of Rana Market Landa Bazar Lahore where they found Imran Akbar and Muhammad Khan involved in illegal business of hundi and hawala.

During search, the team recovered Rs 2,365,000, registers, regarding hawala, manual receipts, visiting cards,ledgers and mobile phones.
