FIA arrests two accused involved in human trafficking

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a notorious human trafficker-cum-proclaimed offender Abid Hussain Butt from Kharian.

According to Gujranwala FIA Deputy Director Sikandar Hayyat Malik, the accused was also named in the Red Book of the FIA and was wanted by FIA in dozens of heinous cases of human trafficking.

He said that the accused, Abid Hussain Butt, had been running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad, especially to Greece, Cyprus, Europe, Turkey, Iran and the UK, after extorting big amounts from them by showing them the golden dreams of their lucid future abroad.

The FIA has also seized a big number of the passports, fake stamps, embassy stamps, medical certificates and fake diplomatic documents from the office of the accused in Kharian.

Meanwhile, the FIA has also arrested a notorious human trafficker Muhammad Ashraf from Paki Kotli-Sialkot. The accused was also running an illegal business of sending innocent people abroad illegally after extorting big amounts from them.

The FIA has sent both the accused behind the bars and further investigations are underway.
