FIA arrests two suspects involved in illegal transfer of money

FAISALABAD: The Federal investigation Agency (FIA), Faisalabad, has arrested a person allegedly involved in hundi and hawala business.

FIA official told Customs Today that an FIA team conducted a raid under the supervision of Deputy Director Syed Imam Ali Zaidi along with Sub inspector Taimoor Haider to arrest the suspects. The team raided “All Rehmat Trading Currency Exchange” Sadique plaza 2nd Floor Kachery Bazar, Faisalabad and Muhammad Nadeem and Ibrar Huassain, both residents of Faisalabad.

During the choking of the office the FIA team recovered one computer, Lap top, USB drive, cheque books, deposits slips, hawala receipts, cash worth Rs 276,680 and prize bonds worth Rs 9,900.

On the spot one person namely Awab Ali was also present for sending hawala amount Rs 80,000 which was also taken into custody. The FIA staff lodged an FIR No, 358/2016 under section (u/s), 4’9’23 F.E.R Act.
