FIA arrests two PIA officers, travel agent over human smuggling

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detained two Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officers and a travel agent for human smuggling.

According to FIA Director Dr Usman Anwar, the two officials of PIA task force namely, Asif Arzani, Hamad Butt and travel agent Muhammad Akram, have been arrested when the accused helped passenger Muhammad Akram depart illegally from Lahore to Toronto on June 16, 2015. Akram managed to get boarding cards of two flights: one for Dubai and second Toronto bound flight PK-789.
