FIA dealing with cyber crime efficiently

FAISALABAD: Cyber Crime Wing (CCW) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is efficiently dealing with white collar felonies in the fast changing pattern of misdeeds.

“Internet era has increased cyber crime rate as people intentionally or unintentionally committing this crime, with a large number of juvenile youth”, said Deputy Director FIA Faisalabad Ali Imam Zaidi.

Talking to APP, he said: “Many of us don’t know their legal rights regarding these criminal activities and hence a large number of victims particularly women avoid to register any complaint against the perpetrators”.

He urged upon the victims of cyber crime to register their complaint so that action could be initiated against the wrong doers.

He asked the victims to immediately lodge complaints if they receive any threat of harassment or blackmailing hurled through any mean of internet. “The system for the registration of complaint is very easy as any such matter could be reported to FIA’s National Response Centre for Cyber Crime”, he added.
