FIA to block CNICs, bank accounts of human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to get the computerized national identity cards (CNICs) blocked and bank accounts frozen of the human traffickers, their agents and sub-agents, while jazzing up the pace of the ongoing crackdown against them in Gujranwala Division.

Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Division Ch Khalid Anees told Customs Today that the FIA has completed basic work for getting the CNICs blocked and bank accounts frozen of as many as 400 notorious human traffickers, their agents and sub-agents. The FIA has developed formal contacts with NADRA and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in this regard.

He said that FIA would soon write the Director General NADRA and the scheduled commercial banks through State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for getting the CNICs blocked and bank accounts freeze of the said human traffickers, their agents and sub agents as well.
