FIA detects illegal electrification of 112 houses

LAHORE: The FIA raided Johar Town area of Lahore and found 112 houses getting electricity illegally.

According to the Federal Investigation Agency Lahore, a team of the agency raided Johar Town on intelligence information and found more than 100 houses involved in illegal electrification with the connivance of LESCO employees.

All of the illegal connections including commercial and domestic were provided by LESCO employees. According to FIA sources, every connection was provided by receiving Rs 25,000. The Federal Investigation Agency confiscated the cables, transformers and heavy voltage supply cables. All of the electricity connections were received on fake documents of houses and other property records.
