ISLAMABAD: A lower court of Islamabad on Wednesday granted four-day physical remand of two suspects allegedly involved in human trafficking. Suspects Muhammad Arif and Ghulam Haider were produced before Senior Civil Judge-West Muhammad Shabbir by the Federal Investigation Agency. The FIA officials told the court that Arif and his accomplices had taken Rs1.2 million from 11 citizens on the pretext of securing visas to Libya for them. Officials of the investigation agency said they had recovered passports and other documents from the accused.

Similarly, FIA told the court that Haider had been running a travel agency which was at the centre of providing fake documents for visas. Officials said that they had raided Haider’s agency and recovered 14passports along with forged documents to support visa applications. Investigators sought eight-day physical remand of the suspects to recover the money they had allegedly taken from people and to determine the location of their accomplices.
